ABOUT THE WEEKEND

Prepare for a professional development experience unique to the mermaid world and join the Mermaid Freedive® team for an inspiring, creative and fun weekend celebrating the mermaid community! Hosted by Vero Beach Mermaid, the Mermaid Freedive® Event is an annual event that creates space for mermaids of all levels to gain knowledge, inspiration, creative content and community through interactive events, conservation, workshops and speakers. This event is great for anyone who wants to journey into the Mermaid space at any level from pro to first timers!

Location: Vero Beach, Florida and greater area

WHO IS THIS FOR

This three day event is open to all levels of mermaids and fantasy lovers whether you have already started your journey or you are just getting started during this event! This is most ideal for those who are or want to become professionals in the mermaid and diving industries, mermaid enthusiasts and those seeking to deepen a connection to the mermaid community and our environment.

EVENT THEME

The 2026 event theme is Kelp inspired from the gorgious kelp forests off of the coast of California. The decor, craft and conservation initiative will be all about kelp forests and how we can help them. All proceeds from the charity raffle during the gala will benefit an organization benefiting kelp.

2:30 AM - 3:30 AM Basic Mermaid course $155 ticketed separately
2:30 PM - 4:30 PM Workshops

5:00 PM End of day

Lunch provided will be various subs, sides and snacks. If this doesn't fit for you or you have a dietary restriction please plan to bring something! Bring your mermaid items to swap and sell!

Saturday

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM VIP hour
2:00 PM - 7:00 PM Mermaid Freedive Fantasy Gala

DAY 1: POOL

Day 1 is a fun filled day of pool workshops, group swims and a performance competition.

Choose from various different workshops, train with our special guests and book an uw photoshoot. This day is packed with fun to help you level up underwater!

DAY 2: GALA

Step into our fantastical world with the heart of the Summit on day 2 at the Fantasy Gala Ball! Enjoy themed decor, delicious catered food, incredible speakers, pop up shops, interactive workshops, crafting, live painter, charity raffle, dancing, live music and more!

After party to follow downtown

DAY 3: BEACH

On day 3 enjoy the beautiful sights of Fort Pierce from one of the best spots in the area! Ocean swimming, inlet photoshoots, beach cleanup, relaxation and fun in the sun!

Option to book pro photoshoots at the Vero Beach Mermaids favorite spot!
