Dive into the magical waters of Mexico on this immersive and magical retreat hosted at one of the most epic properties the area has to offer! This four day retreat will have you feeling empowered, relaxed, inspired and connected with both yourself and fellow mermaids. Enjoy a stunning host property in Akumal, Mexico right next to the ocean with incredible views and close to many amazing cenotes. Our schedule is filled with diving, mermaiding, training, photoshoots, and fun to have you feeling like the best version of you all while creating killer content!
ABOUT THE RETREAT
Enjoy 5 days and 4 nights in a beautiful shared villa with the Mermaid Freedive team! Each day is filled with underwater photoshoots, movement and breath workshops, freediving, mermaid performance building and lots of community time. This retreat is all inclusive which means we take care of your accommodations, daily schedule and majority of meals so that you don't have to worry about a thing! The retreat is a full bodied experience that allows you to grow and transform in ways you never thought possible while connecting with other like minded individuals. The energy of the group coupled with our highly experienced team of professionals creates a safe and welcoming environment that you are sure to enjoy. You will also have the opportunity to create stunning content in the three cenotes we will be visiting so you can boost your portfolio and social media.

THE STAY
We will be staying in a stunning luxurious villa in Akumal! This property is surrounded by jungle and on the shores of the Yalku Lagoon which is a unique and natural aquarium. The villa is equipped with a roof top lounge, jacuzzi, garden, pool, workout jungle gym and its very own in ground cenote.
This luxury experience is in an incredible area with cute beach walks, great restaurants and super close to the cenotes we will be visiting! Walk down to the lagoon for a snorkel, create content in the private cenote or lounge by the pool in nature.
The home has beautiful natural light and every corner is just as instagrammable as the last! Think mermaid bath tub shoots and the biggest adult sleepover ever in the most epic spot!!

PHOTOSHOOTS
One professional underwater mini session is included in your retreat. Should you want a full session you can add it on for $450 which includes 5 fully edited images as well as the option to add on video!
Please note you can also create your own content at any time! There will be many hands to help you get great shots if you don't want to book a full pro photoshoot!
THE SIGN UP STEPS

-Submit your application and include full responses (we read through all applications when considering approval)
-Once you have submitted your application wait for a response
-If you receive an acceptance response you will be sent an invoice and forms to sign
-You have 24 hrs to submit both the payment and forms to save your spot
-Once you have submitted your payment and forms you will receive a welcome email and info packet
-After receiving the info packet, please be sure to book any gear rental right away
-Complete your PADI E learnings (Mermaid and Advanced Mermaid) as soon as possible so not to forget
-If a doctor signature is needed on your medical, get that done right away
-Be sure to add yourself to the Facebook group to get to know the MFD family
-We will post updates leading up to the course in the Facebook group so turn notifications on
IMPORTANT INFO:
This retreat has very limited spots. Full payment is due upfront to take a spot!
Transportation - We offer a complimentary hired driver to Akumal from Cancun airport, please be sure you are ready to go at 1:00 PM EST from the airport. Plan flights accordingly to arrive by 11:30 AM EST to the airport for enough time to get bag and go through customs. If you miss the hired ride, you can take a taxi at your expense or grab the bus. Its very easy to get transport from Cancun! We will also have rides sorted for you each day for our off property activties so that you don't have to worry about anything!
You will need cash to get into the cenotes each day. Most cenotes cost around $15 to $35 each for entrance fees.

There are no conditions in which your spot and payment would be refunded to you unless the retreat is canceled in emergency situations. These retreats are highly time intensive for our team and very limited in spots. We highly recommend purchasing dive trip insurance to cover you in case of an unforeseen need to cancel.
